With a visit to the Nature Center, you will see live snakes, frogs, turtles and fish, along with permanent and seasonal exhibits. Park interpreters conduct interesting hikes and other programs including paddling a 34-foot Voyageur canoe to learn about Stony Creek Lake. The Stony Creek Nature Center maintains five-miles of interpretively labeled, self-guided nature trails. An additional thirteen-miles of non-labeled, self-discovery hiking trails are also available to the inquisitive visitor.

The Nature Center offers classes and special events. Bring your family to Friday Night Canoe trips, Moonlight Wagon Rides, and History Wagon Rides. In the winter, rent some traditional snowshoes and explore the nature study area blanketed in snow.
