The Detroit History Club is honored to invite you to join us for a legendary evening on board the eighty-five foot long tall ship, The Appledore IV. With a seventy-six foot mast and over 3,500 square feet of sails, The Appledore IV has majestically sailed the Great Lakes for nearly twenty years.

ASTRONOMY AT THE BEACH 2019

Astronomy at the Beach is a two-night annual event bringing together amateur and professional astronomers and science educators to share our love of space and astronomy with the public. This year’s theme is the Apollo 11 50th anniversary.

2019 TURTLE TROT FAMILY FUN RUN

Run, walk, or jog on the scenic walkways along the Huron River and Geddes Pond with the Michigan Nature Association! This 5K will promote efforts to preserve habitat for turtles throughout Michigan, such as the Eastern box turtle, the Spotted turtle, Blanding’s turtle, and the Wood Turtle. Families, strollers, and pets (on a leash) welcome! Kids can run a 1 mile race prior to the 5K.
