WATER STORY YOUTH WORKSHOP

Students, make a difference in your community through this free workshop experienceby telling Detroit’s urban water story, through examples at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and the Michigan Science Center.

 

U-PICK AT BLAKE FARM

November 1 – November 2

@ Blake’s Orchard & Cider Mill, Armada

Come on out to Blake Farms for the chance to pick out your own fresh produce! From June 10 to Early November, you can pick whatever produce is harvesting at that time! So pack up the family and head out to Blake’s.

 

ERWIN ORCHARDS U-PICK APPLES

A family tradition since 1920, Erwin Orchards is celebrating 99 years of delicious produce and still growing! Come enjoy hot and fresh donuts, freshly made cider, caramel apples, home-made Michigan products, or enjoy some of the many kids’ activities such as the petting farm, corn maze, straw bale maze, goat walk, wagon rides, and more! This will be the last weekend for picking!

 

DROP-IN WORKSHOP: SUGAR SKULLS

Learn how sugar skulls are used for Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexican and Mexican American communities while you decorate one of your own.

 

BLAST CORN MAZE

@ The Blast Corn Maze, Dexter

Experience 10 acres of A-Maze-in fun in southeast Michigan. There are 3½ miles of trails with different 3 exits. Short, medium and full corn maze exits in order to accommodate many corn maze fans & enthusiasts. We also feature a u-pick pumpkin patch, hayrides, corn cannon, delicious treats and much more.

 

MAYBURY FARM CORN MAZE

@ Maybury Corn Maze, Northville

The maze includes a tractor-drawn wagon ride to the entrance with pick up and drop off every 15-20 minutes.  When you’ve completed the maze, jump back on the wagon and head back to the farm to enjoy fresh delicious Parmenter’s cider and donuts. You might even see some of our farm animals too!

 

KACKLEBERRY’S GOURD WILD

November 2 – November 3

@ Kackleberry Farm, Monroe

It’s a good time to grab up the last of the pumpkins, take one last hike through the corn maze, and enjoy those marvelous cider donuts from the bakery. We’ll have Fall Finale Sales in the Country Store, too! Enjoy one last bonfire before winter sets in! Even have a blast with pumpkins! Smash em’, mash ’em! If you want to, bring your leftover pumpkins back to the farm.

 

MOTHER-DAUGHTER PRINCESS TEA

Dress up like your favorite princess and join us for a fancy tea party! Activities will include a princess craft to take home, dance party and photo opportunities with 2 REAL PRINCESSES! The event concludes with tea and cookies.
