Join as at the Cranbrook Institute of Science for a final party to celebrate the Da Vinci: Machines & Robotics exhibition, sponsored by PNC Bank. There will be a host of science experiments and activities based on the musings of the Renaissance Man himself, Leonardo da Vinci. In addition, celebrate 16th century Italian style with crafts, dancing, and games all inspired by the great flowering of culture enjoyed by Europe at the time. Make jewelry, learn a new dance, and try your hand at cards or chess – both exotic new pastimes in Renaissance Europe!

WILD LIGHTS AT THE DETROIT ZOO

The Detroit Zoo will light up the night again this holiday season with Wild Lights, a spectacular light display.  For 24 nights, more than five million LED lights will illuminate trees, buildings and more than 230 animal sculptures throughout the front half of the Zoo.  Experience the magic of the Detroit Zoo in winter as you take in the lights and the sights and enjoy holiday entertainment and special activities for guests of all ages.

To celebrate the holidays the DFT Animation Club will host elegantly silly afternoon teas in the Crystal Gallery Café. Tea service will begin at 1 p.m., and be followed at 2 p.m. with free screenings of animated features in the historic DIA Auditorium. All films will be shown in English language versions.
