WARREN’S BIRTHDAY BASH

August 22 – 25

@ Warren City Square, Warren

Warren’s action-packed four-day Birthday Bash runs from Aug. 22 – 25 at Warren City Square, east of Van Dyke north of 12 Mile Rd. This event includes free concerts, fireworks, food, beer tents, and a ton of family-friendly activities such as live jugglers, Rosco the Clown, Ben the Lego Guy, dog shows and more!

 

NATURE TOTS

@ Belle Isle Nature Center, Detroit

Join us for a FREE program for children ages 2-4 and their adult caregivers. Enjoy stories, crafts and activities as we use our senses to explore nature together! Programs will be held on the third Friday and Saturday of each month at the Belle Isle Nature Center.

 

ZOO STORIES

After months of interviews with zoo caregivers, CMAP will demonstrate live shows in new street-theater style puppet works, with a culmination of all 4 plays about frogs, polar bears, bats, and wolves, being performed as a full revue at New Center Park.

Ypsilanti’s premiere festival features live music, crafts and food. Children entertainment includes a “Light Parade”, movie night, touch-a-truck, a rubber ducky race and more.

 

MATILDA THE MUSICAL

This musical is about a unique 5 year old girl with a unique gift of telekinesis.  She loves reading, school, and overcoming obstacles. See the famous book brought to life! This is the last weekend for the show, see it before it’s gone!

MEET A MERMAID

@ Sea Life Michigan Aquarium

From August 15th to September 2nd (Thursdays through Sundays only), mermaids will perform underwater next to sharks, sea turtles and thousands of tropical fish to amaze visitors of all ages. Then, meet a mermaid “face to fin” at a magical photo op!

 

DOOM OF THE DINOSAURS

The temporary Doom of the Dinosaurs exhibition allows visitors to view the impressive fossil casts of the last known dinosaurs to roam Earth, including the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Edmontosaurus.
