Grand Rapids Lantern Festival

The Grand Rapids Lantern Festival at John Ball Zoo is spectacular. There are hundreds of illuminated object and displays throughout the entire zoo and It’s most magical when it’s dark and with longer days, the earlier you make it out the earlier in the evening you’ll be able to enjoy it. It only runs thru June 11th and an easy 2 hour drive down 96. We highly recommend you check it out.

Touch-A-Truck Events

A favorite for kids and parents, touch-a-trucks return in May! There are multiple events happening on both May 13th and 20th – check the list to find one near you. On May 20th, Westland is hosting a Kid Safety Day and Children’s Hospital of Michigan will be on-site doing complimentary car seat safety checks, if you need help with yours check it out.
