We all love being with our kids, but sometimes we need a little ‘me time’ to relax and catch up with friends. Good news – sometimes you can have it all! You don’t need to call the babysitter or let your kids watch YouTube at Starbucks – here are some local places where your kids can play and you can cheer them on from the sidelines.
242 Community Church

242 Church in Ann Arbor has an amazing open to the public playscape, cafe, and open turf area! The climbing area has three slides for different levels of climbers.
Baxter’s Play Cafe

You can’t beat FREE! Baxter’s Play Cafe is located inside Metro City Church but you don’t have to be a member to enjoy the massive play structure. Grab a bite to eat, work on your laptop, or catch up with friends while your kids play.
Castaway Play
- Howell: 1800 N. Burkhart Rd.
Castaway Play is a family family fun center with a giant play structure, bounce houses, laser tag, arcade, restaurant, play structure, & AWESOME birthday parties! The indoor play space is designed for kids of all ages and includes a miniature bridge and three slides.
Chelsea Tree House
- Chelsea: 1101 S Main St
The Tree House is an awesome adventure destination located in Chelsea, Michigan. The 9,000 square foot location boasts a huge climbing and playing structure, five slides, a baby and toddler area, swinging bridges, basketball hoops, and of course, a huge tree house!
Dinoland

What kid doesn’t love dinosaurs?! You can’t lose at Dinoland because the awesome theme is just the beginning – from rock walls, to ball pits, slides and the cutest baby/toddler area – the entire family will have fun at Dinoland.
Fairytale Fun Place

Have fun at a gigantic 3-story play structure is jam-packed with slides, obstacles, a zip line and our signature 3-story bear slide! For littler ones, you can feel safe while they play in our enclosed “Cub Cove” which includes a smaller version of our big play structure and a variety of age-appropriate toys.
Jungle Java

Jungle Java is all about kids having fun, engaging in active play, in a safe and clean environment. Jungle Java is also all about parents being able to relax and socialize, enjoying a latte, in a comfy and cozy environment.
Kidcadia

Kidcadia is an escape for kids and caregivers. The 10,000 sq ft venue features a large indoor playscape for kids to explore and cozy seating parents to sit back and relax.
Rochester Play

Rochester Play provides many unique services – a premier indoor children’s play center, a distinctive party location, a health conscious and tasty café, and various family and children’s programs.
Ward Church Playscape
- Northville: 40000 Six Mile Rd
The Ward Church Playscape is for children 12 and under and is free and open to everyone 5 days a week. It is available for private party rentals on Saturdays. Parking near and entering through Entry 1 or Entry 3 may be the most convenient route to the Playscape.
Yoyo’s Fun Center
