10 Things To Do with Kids This Weekend


The days may all be a blur, but we can still get excited for the weekend. After a long week at home, spend time outside and take in some fresh air. And if you need some inspiration for things to do with your kids, here are 10 things you CAN do this weekend.


Head to Heritage Park Petting Farm for pony rides and visits from your favorite Toy Story and Frozen characters! Reservations are required.


Calling all Scouts! It’s Scout Weekend at Blake Farms and you get 20% off  Funland day passes Saturday and Sunday. A Fundland pass includes unlimited hayrides, corn maze, straw mountain, haunted village, animal petting farm, sports zone, tricycle track and more! If you’re not a scout, no problem. Spookyland at Blakes debuts for the 2020 season on Saturday!


Take the kids to the ball park and watch a United Shore Baseball Game, run the bases and dance on the field. The team plays afternoon games on both Saturday and Sunday.


Celebrate African culture at Maheras Gentry Park on Friday and Saturday. The Detroit African Cultural Festival will have African drumming, dancing, and more.


Have fun with a naturalist! There are multiple outdoor family activities happening this weekend across metro Detroit.


Ready for a road trip? It’s the final Wizarding Weekend at John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids AND BrickLive Animal Paradise (40 scultupres/1.8 million LEGOS) is on display for an awesome two for one deal!


If you were excited about Harry Potter but not up for a road trip. Go to Gateaux in Dearborn. They are celebrating Harry Potter month and the bakery is decorated beautifully and has magical treats for wizards of every House.


It’s not fall festivals season as usual but if you’re looking for Outdoor Family Fun check out Burton Manor in Livonia on Sunday. There will be pony and train rides, putt putt, pumpkins and more!


Speaking of fall fun, this week’s #MomLife feature Bree, is the co-founder of the Art Attic and they will be hosting Halloween events on the Farm next month and you don’t want to wait to get your tickets. You can also enter to win an art box for crafting fun at home with your kiddos.
