10 Things to Do with Kids in Metro Detroit this Weekend

The days may all be a blur, but we can still get excited for the weekend. After a long week at home, spend time outside and take in some fresh air. And if you need some inspiration for things to do with your kids, here are 10 things you CAN do this weekend.

It’s hard to believe but it’s MAY! Mark your calendar for these fun events and celebrate May Day at home with the kids.

Los Trompos is back at Beacon Park and Sunday you can celebrate Cinco de Mayo with food trucks, crafts, dance class and live music for FREE!

Another reason do go downtown is Flower Days at Eastern Market. Get your garden ready by stocking up at the flower markets on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Rochester and Birmingham’s Farmers Market open for the season this weekend too.

Enjoy family day in Ferndale! Here’s a guide to playgrounds, outdoor restaurants and awesome desserts!

Another place to explore is Innovation Hills in Rochester Hills. The new park is great for a short spring stroll, if you go at night you can walk along a glowing trail. Keep your eyes out for the new 3 acre Nature Playground debuting later this year.

This week’s #MomLife feature Robin loves Hines Drive and so do we! And starting this weekend, Saturdays in the Park is back! You can walk, ride or stroll the thoroughfare without any cars on the 6 mile stretch.

After last week’s cold spell we’re bringing back summer vibes with a inflatable water slide giveaway from Five Little Monkey’senter to win.

Speaking of summer, make sure to have Stony Creek Metropark on your visit list.
