10 Things to Do with Kids in Metro Detroit this Weekend

The days may all be a blur, but we can still get excited for the weekend. After a long week at home, spend time outside and take in some fresh air. And if you need some inspiration for things to do with your kids, here are 10 things you CAN do this weekend.

TreeRunner Adventure Park in West Bloomfield opens this weekend! There are 195 obstacles, 41 zip lines and a variety of skill level courses.

It’s also opening weekend for the new Drive To Win Exhibit at The Henry Ford. I’m not a car fan but we loved the new exhibit and I highly recommend checking out the short film Fueled by Passion in the multi-sensory theater.

If you’re looking for the Easter Bunny here are the places you can find him this weekend. If you’re like me and scrambling for last minute basket ideas, check out the Unicorn shop in Ypsilanti.

Spend time outside and explore the 17 miles of Hines Drive in Wayne County. The public recreation area has unique playgrounds, bike and racing trails, disc golf and more!

We’ve been playground hoping all week long and are looking forward to more weekend exploration. If you’re looking for a place to go, this week’s #MomLife feature Rana loves both Taylor and Farmington Hills’ Heritage Parks.

If you’d rather stay inside, have a ball at YoYo’s Fun Center in Westland. The amusement center has a trampoline park, massive ballpit, pottery painting station and more.

Use a bowling ball at one of these family-friendly bowling alleys in metro Detroit.

We’re excited, Michigan’s Adventure reopens this spring and we can’t wait to check out the BRAND NEW Camp Snoopy!

Did you miss our big announcement?! We’re hosting our first event next month and YOU are invited to the LittleGuide Detroit Stroller Roll! You can catch up with us and all the details on this week’s LittleGuide LIVE video on Facebook.

Another video to watch is Cranbrook Institute of Science’s Science Will Always Be Here. It’s a powerful reminder of the power of innovation and extra motivation to inspire our kids to learn, explore and do great things.

Here are more ideas for the weekend!

Get tickets to the Monroe Street Drive-In Theatre in downtown Detroit + make it a date night! Here’s this week’s movie line-up:

  • Friday: Ride Along
  • Saturday: Trolls
  • Sunday: Austin Powers
