10 Things to Do with Kids in Metro Detroit this Weekend

Hi Susan
I hope all is well. I'll be filing to run for City Council soon and the first step in my campaign is reaching out to as many residents as I can to find out what's important to them. Since you're the Clerk I won't be asking for your endorsement but I really respect your work and commitment to doing what's right for the people no matter what. That's why I'm running for council. I want to make sure residents know that their concerns are being heard and addressed or at least acknowledged. I'm passionate about democracy but it only works if we get involved. It's why I do Vote.Run.Serve and it's why I'm running now. I want to show younger people with families that they don't have to wait to get involved and that government isn't just for 'politicians' but for good people who want to work hard and make a difference. You are a good person, who works hard to make a difference and that's why I'm reaching out. If there are people you think I should talk to I would appreciate leads or introductions. As you know, I'm a democrat but this is a non-partisan race and the issues impact all of us equally as residents.  I'm happy to answer any questions you have or talk to you more about why I'm running. Here's my website for more information: https://carrieforlivoniacouncil.com. I don't want to interfere with your position as clerk, but I really respect you and wanted to reach out just in case we could connect as fellow Livonians.
