10 Things You CAN Do This Weekend

The days may all be a blur, but we can still get excited for the weekend. After a long week at home, spend time outside and take in some fresh air. And if you need some inspiration for things to do with your kids, here are 10 things you CAN do this weekend.

It’s officially summer – and a summer we’ll never forget! – start a family journal to keep a record of your 2020 adventures.

The Farmington Nature Center is now open to the public (reservations required). Head to Heritage Park to an exclusive Nature Center Experience and bring your walking shoes for a family trek  through the trails.

Take your train lover to play at David Shepherd Park in Oak Park or take a road trip to the  recently re-opened Lost Railway Museum in Grass Lake.

Pack up the sand toys and head to Robert Valade Park on the Riverfront. The sand beach opened last fall and is re-opened this week!

The pools are open in Livonia and lots of fun (we went opening day). Pre-register online and have fun in the sun.

Cool down with lemonade stand popsicles.

Visit Westview Orchards & Adventure Farms for Donuts + Drive (a u-pick strawberry event).

Put on your Tigers gears, head to the batting cages or play catch in the backyard, the MLB announced that baseball will start its 2020 season next month!

We love seeing YOUR favorite places to visit and Bella (@yohanaisabella on IG) is always going to fun places with her son Charlie – check out her favorite places in this week’s #MomLife feature.

Pull out the calendar and make plans for a date night. You deserve it and we want to help make it happen. Check out our list of favorite restaurants and enter to win a $50 VISA gift card.
