The Henry Ford is one of our favorite places and now it’s a lot easier for metro Detroit families to visit because it has joined the Museums for All initiative.

The Henry Ford Museum is now part of the Institute of Museum and Library Services’ Museum for All program. This will allow SNAP/EBT and WIC cardholders, plus four guests, to receive access to The Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village for just $3 upon presenting their card at any ticketing counter.

With this move, The Henry Ford joins a long list of Michigan museums that participate in the Museums for All program including:

Museum For All benefits vary per location and it’s encouraged to look at the each location’s website when you plan your visit.

For other families planning a visit to The Henry Ford, a membership is a great way to save. A family membership without rides is $185 for 2 adults and kids at household (membership with rides pass is $285) and grants you unlimited visits to the museum and village AND free parking. One venue, one day admission for a family of 4 (ages 5 and older) is $93.50. When you visit twice, it’s paid for itself and you’ll want to visit more than twice.
