Calling all bookworms! Get ready for a day filled with spectacular stories, creative activities and fun performances at the Edsel & Eleanor Ford House. Lat year’s SELL-OUT Story Festival returns for its second year Saturday September 24th!

The Ford House is teaming up with the Grosse Pointe Public Library and the ECHO Library and Resource Center for a one-of-a-kind Story Festival for families. Guests will find stations around the estate with fun and immersive activities for the whole family, all meant to spark a love of reading. Story themes draw from the lakeside estate and include the water cycle, gardens, and sustainability, art, home, nature, and transportation.

Keynote performers are Jim Gill and Shelley Johannes. Gill is a musician and author who’s work offerss an opportunity for playful interactions between a child and a caring adult. Johannes is debuting her picture book, More Than Sunny.

The Story Festival is Saturday, September 24th from 10am to 2pm. Admission is free for kids ages 5 and under, guests over 5 are $5. This program is best for kids ages 7 and under. Get your tickets here.
