The Redford Township District Library announced that it will be enhancing its exterior space and extending its offerings to the public this fall.

This fall the Redford Township District Library is expanding its outdoor space to include a programming area for children and community gathering space. The area will be used for casual meet-ups for visitors and event space for the library. Currently, the library hosts outdoor story time for families on the lawn by the front door. Beginning on June 15th, outdoor story time will be held weekly on Tuesdays at 10:30am.

In addition to the new in-person area, the library will extend its services to those on the go. Since being introduced in 2020, curbside and grab-and-go material pick up options have been offered to the public and well received. Soon you won’t have to decide between waking up the kids/bringing crabby kids in the library or picking up your books. A drive-thru window will be constructed, allowing for easy access to your library holds.
