The Pontiac Skatepark Project is ready to take the Oakland Park skate space to the next level with a state of the art 10,000 square foot skate park.

Just in time for National Go Skate Day, the Pontiac Skatepark Project is promoting its goal to raise $50,000 in matching funds to add to the $250,000 currently raised for a state of the art 10,000 square foot skate park in Oakland Park. Currently, skaters in the community use a converted tennis courts and skate stations for practice/recreation. Together with the Oakland County Sheriff Police Athletic League (PAL), the Pontiac Skatepark Project is well on its way to reaching its fundraising goals by the November deadline but needs help from the community. If you would like to make a donation to this effort, you can learn more here.
