Take a weekend trip to downtown Detroit for an exciting family-friendly afternoon at ‘Skating with the Stars’ the annual Figure Skating In Detroit event features live performances, special guests – including Olympian Meryl Davis, open skating and more! Mark the calendar for Campus Martius at 3pm on Saturday, February 25th.
Figure Skating in Detroit is a nonprofit organization that combines academics and figure skating for girls ages 6-18. Every year the organization hots its ‘Skating with the Stars’ event to raise $30,000 to go toward academic programming, field trips, uniforms, equipment and ice time.
This year’s event includes special appearances by Olympic Gold Medalist Meryl Davis, World Champion Hurdler Candace Price, WNBA player Stacey Lovelace and a surprise Ice Hockey Champion. Attendees can also experience music, live performances, hot chocolate, ice skating and more. Tickets are on sale now for the Saturday event:
- General Admission ($15) – Watch the live performance
- General Admission ($30) – Watch the live performance, skate on the ice and warm up with hot chocolate
- VIP Admission ($50) – Enjoy VIP seating area with snacks, meet the athletes, skate on the ice and warm up with hot chocolate
