Meet Tiera

Hi, I am Tiera L. Turner, the author & creator of 2 children’s books, Affirmations from A to Z and Business Basics from A to Z. I’m also mom to MyKail (5) and Miguel (2.5). In my everyday life, I own and operate T Styles Graphics – a web & brand design company. My oldest son was diagnosed with Autism on his 3rd birthday and since then I have researched, learned, lived, and advocated for the cause. As a mother to two rambunctious boys, I hope that my experiences will encourage others on their parental journey.

Best Park/Playground: Kidcadia Play Cafe (Dearborn)

The boys love to run and play all over! The space is big enough, but not overwhelming. I love their cleanliness & cafe! The staff are always nice and helpful.

Best Family-Friendly Annual Event: African World Festival (Detroit)

We love to attend the African World Festival every year. I’ve been doing it as a child and wanted to keep the tradition.

Your Mom Must-Have: My Babysitter!

It wouldn’t be a thing but a person; my babysitter. I choose my sitter because we both are full-time working parents with one special needs son and one who doesn’t sit down. The parent burnout is real and sitters are appreciated in my household.

Best Winter Destination or Event: Winter Blast (Royal Oak)

We are excited to attend the Winter Blast in Royal Oak this year! I think the location choice was perfect. They always have tons of activity options.

“Pat Yourself on the Back” Accomplishment: Homeownership

I’ve been a homeowner for 5 years. Growing up we moved often; never too long to set roots. My kids only know their one home and that is a blessing that we as their parents can provide for them.
