Meet Kristin

Hi, I’m Kristin and the mom to 3-year-old twins, Cameron and Quinn, and the blogger behind The Montessori Millennial. Thanks for learning more about me, my family, and some of our favorite things!

Favorite Ways To Spend Family Time:

  • Trail Walks
  • Time Together Up North on the Lake
  • Reading Books Together

Favorite Places To Go:

Favorite Bedtime Stories:

Favorite Dinner Recipes:

Best Park/Playground: Orion Oaks County Park + Clintwood Park (Clarkston)

We love this park and trail because it’s well maintained, the trail is wide enough for a double stroller (key with twins!) and the views are gorgeous. We can talk about the different plants and wildlife while getting out energy and enjoying the outdoors.  Our favorite playground is Clintwood Park because they have handicap accessible swings and structures, a splash pad, soccer fields, and picnic tables! It’s an all-in-one stop to really wear the kids out in the summer!

Your Mom Must Have: Happy Baby Carriers

Having twins was difficult to go places alone and I couldn’t stay at home by myself all day so my Happy Baby carrier was amazing! I’d put one baby on my back and the other in a stroller, cart, etc. and off we went!

Best Family-Friendly Annual Event: Visit a U-Pick Farm

Middleton Berry Farm for strawberry picking was a great activity to do early summer and Lavender Hill Farm in Imlay City has the most amazing U-pick lavender. We are still using it for crafting!

Best Fall Destination: Upland Hills Farm (Oxford)

Upland Hills Farm has a family fun harvest festival with storybook trails, hayrides, magic shows, horse riding, pumpkin patch, cider, and donuts! What more can you ask for?!

“Pat Yourself on the Back” Accomplishment: Running a Full Marathon

When I was 21 I decided that was the year I was going to train and run a full marathon…and I did! It was difficult as I was in college and had to really motivate myself but it was the first time I set a goal and accomplished it. Since then I’ve run 13 half marathons, 1 triathlon with many more on the horizon!
