Meet Michelle

Hi my name is Michelle French Hutchins. I’m the proud mother of two amazing kids, Colin (6) and Olivia (5). I’m a wife to a very hands-on father, hardworking, supportive husband, Jason. I was born and raised in Birmingham, Michigan. We recently built a home in the same neighborhood I grew up in to hopefully pass some traditions down to my own children. I’m a freelance wardrobe stylist in the metro Detroit area & have many other services to offer other busy moms! I find balancing work and family life, have found both the time and opportunity to continue my passion professionally and allows me to continue to find more free time in my schedule. I’m now offering new services to the Metro Detroit area as personal Stylist/Shopper, Closet Clean Out Expert, Consignment Consultant for Adult and Children items, and Wedding Stylist. Favorite Places To Go:

Favorite Bedtime Stories:

Favorite Family-friendly Restaurants:

Best Park/Playground: Booth Park (Birmingham)

My family enjoys Booth Park in Birmingham. There are a couple different play structures for different ages groups and a big grass field for running around on. We enjoy getting carry out from a local restaurant and having a picnic on the grassy hill. Also, it’s not just a park- we love to explore The Rouge River Trail that is connected and get lost in nature for miles leading you to Quarton Lake.

Best Family-Friendly Annual Event: Beacon Park (Detroit)

Beacon Park has always been a go-to on the weekends for my family. Some weekends they have amazing kid friendly events and sometimes have different themes depending on the month. It’s become an annual fun thing to venture off to Detroit on our weekends for live music, crafts, face painting, and food trucks. It’s always something new for all ages and a lot of the events are free!

Your Mom Must-Have: AKT (Royal Oak)

AKT allows me to have “Me Time” and to recharge my mind to be the best mom I can be. It’s a great community of strong women with energy that’s so contagious!!!

Best Spring Destination or Event: Traverse City
We like to take a good road trip to our family cottage in Traverse City. Up north has so many great places to explore. Some of our family favorites are hitting downtown TC for a great view with food and drinks is the rooftop at the Hotel Indigo Hotel. Pyramid Point hiking trail is only a couple mile hike and at the top it’s very rewarding with a stunning view. Afterwards we love to head into Leland to walk around Fish Town for some shopping + food and the kids love picking out some treats at the local candy shop.

“Pat Yourself on the Back” Accomplishment:

I can have the best of both worlds! I’m a stay-at-home mom but also a very hard working one. Being freelance gives me flexibility to pick and choose what productions, projects, clients, etc. that I can/want to take on and depending on what’s going on in my life at that moment or if I need to be there for my kids, I can be! I’m very proud of what I’ve become and accomplished making a name for myself after 19 years in the industry.
