Meet Kendra

Hi there! My name is Kendra Bissig. I am the owner of The Blonde Mom– a Personal Shopping & Wardrobe Styling business dedicated to providing an elite service at an affordable price point for everyday people in Metro Detroit. I have two daughters, Penny (8) and Ruby (6), and a yellow lab, Lola (13!!) My husband, Mike, works for the Department of Defense. We enjoy date nights in the city, and traveling- especially to all of our favorite up-north towns! I am frequently on Instagram sharing fashion finds, the remarkable people I get to dress, and all the best memes to keep you giggling with me.

Best Park/Playground: Grosse Pointe Parks

We live in Grosse Pointe City, and each of the Pointes has its own park. It was one of the driving factors in buying a home here 11 years ago. We’re able to enjoy Lake St Clair, swing sets, BBQ, pools, and the marina whenever we want- there’s no better park in my opinion! (Shameless plug for GP!)

Best Family-Friendly Annual Event: Trying New Ones!

We have never been to the same event more than once! We are a little unit of explorers, so we’ve yet to make any event an annual tradition.

Your Mom Must-Have: The Family Calendar

Although my husband and I use individual Outlook calendars for work, we keep a combined large dry-erase calendar in our kitchen that helps us remember what is going on with all four of us. If it’s not on the calendar, it’s not happening!

Best Spring Destination or Event: Frankenmuth

We love to go to Frankenmuth. The flowers are so beautiful, and it’s not nearly as crowded as it is in the fall and winter!

“Pat Yourself on the Back” Accomplishment: Work + Family

I’ve successfully built a personal styling business without a fashion degree or background, all while being a stay-at-home mom to my daughters. When passion and talent collide, anything is possible!
