Meet Alisha

I’m Alisha Love, a proud wife, mother, entrepreneur, artist, and author. I currently reside in Southfield with my two-year-old daughter Sophia, my husband Michael, and our two dogs Bailey and Buddy. I serve as a dean of students in Detroit, Michigan. My career in the field of education started over ten years ago as a classroom teacher. I am also a graduate of Wayne State University, where I earned a B.A. in Elementary Education and a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership. I enjoy running my online stores i love this and that, which sells clothing, accessories, and customized items for men, women, and children! I also run my two-year-old daughter’s store Sophias Crayon Creations, which sells customized crayons for children. I believe that giving back and empowering others, especially youth, is not only my passion, but purpose. I strive to continue to spread hope, joy, and positive affirmations through all of my work.

Best Park/Playground: Inglenook Park (Southfield, MI)

We love it because there are a variety of things for kids to do. The play area is nice, there is a beautiful trail for walking, as well as various baseball diamonds.

Best Family-Friendly Annual Event: Visiting Waterparks

We enjoy visiting various water parks in the summer. My daughter and husband love the water!

Your Mom Must-Have:  A Planner + Coffee

I am a planner girl! I like to write things down and hard schedule. This keeps me on track and helps to create balance. I also like Starbucks! I like to think that my grande chocolate mocha makes my day better!

Best Winter Destination or Event: Sledding

In the winter we enjoy sledding and making snow angels in the snow!

“Pat Yourself on the Back” Accomplishment: My Inspirational Album

In 2012 I released an inspirational album called, “Reflections.” The fact that the songs from that album still inspire others today makes me proud.
