Bundle up and get ready for winter fun! From tube slides and ice sculptures to ice skates and skis, there are lots of reasons to get out the house and to a festival.

 

Frost Fest

Saturday, January 11 – Sunday, January 12

@ Blakes Farm, Armada

Discover the warmth of winter at Blake’s Frost Fest. Enjoy live ice carvings, fire show, 5k run/walk, train rides through the orchard, live music, horse drawn sleigh rides, warming tent with food and drinks and much more!

 

Ice Festival

@ Downtown Plymouth

The Plymouth Ice Festival is a world-class event in beautiful downtown Plymouth that is exciting and fun for the whole family.

 

Fire & Ice Festival

Friday, January 17 – Sunday, January 19

@ Downtown Rochester

The 13th Annual Fire & Ice Festival in Downtown Rochester is back for another year of family fun and festivities. Enjoy the ice sculptures along Main Street, tube sledding hill, ice skating rink, dog sled rides, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing, fireworks, food trucks and tent and so much more!

We cannot wait to celebrate winter as a community and enjoy sledding, skating, and concessions.

 

Polar Party

@ West Bloomfield Recreation Center

Our Polar Party features winter-themed activities for the whole family to enjoy! Activities include a live animal show, snowman building contest, s’more roasting, crafts station, ice sculptures, games, snowshoeing, and the Monkey Business Food Truck will be on site.

 

Snow Much Fun

@ Rolling Hills Park, Ypsilanti

Join the winter fun starting at Rolling Hills County Park for our annual Snow Much Fun event. Event festivities include a reindeer toss, petting zoo, face painting, crafts, hot chocolate, sledding hill, and activities!

Come to the Oak Park Community Center for some winter fun! We’ll have plenty of activities for kids, good food to eat, a s’mores station, horse-drawn carriage rides, free ice skating at the Oak Park Ice Arena, and more!

 

Buhr Blitz Day

@ Buhr Park, Ann Arbor

Enjoy refreshments and crafts as you watch college ice carving teams from across SE Michigan compete. Teams will use techniques that involve flamethrowers, chainsaws, and more!

 

Winter Blast Weekend

Friday, February 7 – Sunday, February 9

@ Campus Martius, Detroit

Head to Campus Martius Park February 7-9, 2020 for Quicken Loans Winter Blast Weekend – the traditional one weekend festival that has transformed downtown Detroit into a winter themed wonderland. Ice Skating at The Rink is FREE courtesy of Delta Dental (skate rental $5). The Ice Garden will feature a variety of expertly crafted and lighted ice sculptures. Roast marshmallows, go on the zip lines and winter slide and strap on some skis for bunny hill fun!

@ Bear Creek Nature Park, Rochester

Snowy fun for the whole family! Activities include: Ice carving, crafts, archery, ice skating, scavenger hunt, magic show, stilt walker and balloon animals, food tent, and more.
