There’s nothing like a summer night, bundled under blankets, watching the sky light up bright colors and memorable sounds. Here’s your guide to firework displays across metro Detroit.

This is the event we all look forward to. The 2018 fireworks will not disappoint! Watch as the fireworks are launched above Ford Lake in downtown Milan. Wabash street will be locked off for pedestrian traffic during the fireworks show.

The Michigan Fun Fest will feature exciting entertainment that includes multiple carnival rides, a casino, lots of live music, and many vendors featuring food booths with fresh exotic offerings. It will be a great time for the entire family!

From its very humble beginnings at Westcroft Gardens in 1984 IslandFest has grown to be one of the largest and most well attended festivals in the area. Annual favorites, like the TAILS auction and Jazzapalooza have been part of the festivities for over ten years. Many activities have been part of the Festival from the start; the Macomb Street Parade, arts and craft show, and the carnival. An Island celebration: “Where the river ends and fun begins.”

Join us for three action-packed fun-filled days that the whole family will enjoy in beautiful Heritage Park, located behind the Canton Administration Building and the Canton Public Library, just west of Canton Center Road between Cherry Hill and Summit Parkway. Fireworks begin at dusk. Bring your lawn chairs, friends, and family – there isn’t a bad spot in the park to view the show! Please note that the carnival rides will still be operating during the fireworks.

Each year Livonia Spree concludes with its Grand Finale Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday night at dusk (approximately 10:15 pm). Eagerly anticipated by Spree visitors, Sunday night will find the Spree grounds filled with people, and lawn chairs set up and picnics in progress along major Livonia streets.

The 2018 Taylor Summer Festival is right around the corner, and the City of Taylor is proud to announce its concert lineup and tentative schedule. The festival will be held from Thursday, June 28, through Sunday, July 1, with the Masco Taylor Summer Festival Fireworks display scheduled for approximately 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 30.

Red, white and blue-festooned buildings, classic summer tastes, fifes and drums and fireflies are the backdrop for the most robust expression of the Fourth of July — connecting with family, friends and neighbors to honor the great American experiment. Community goodwill fills Greenfield Village as picnic blankets and chairs are assembled for the joint concert by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and The United States Army Field Band and Soldiers’ Chorus, the premier touring musical representatives of the United States Army. The finale is the DSO’s stirring rendition of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, played in harmony with authentic cannon fire followed by a patriotic medley under a canopy of fireworks.

Shelby Township Independence Day Fireworks

Presented by the Shelby Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA), the 2018 Shelby Township Independence Day Fireworks will begin at 10 p.m. July 3. The fireworks will be visible throughout the Shelby Township DDA Van Dyke corridor. The Packard Proving Grounds will be hosting a Fireworks Festival including live entertainment, kids activities, concessions and shopping at 49965 Van Dyke Ave. The township will host families at Ford Field Park at 7460 23 Mile Road.
