Maple sugaring is a favorite Michigan activity during winter months and Maplefest at MSU Tollgate Farm Center is a family event you won’t want to miss.
Learn something new, try tasty treats and have fun outside exploring MSU Tollgate Farm Center to learn about Michigan’s sweetest winter crop – maple syrup! Mark your calendars and get tickets to Maplefest, March 5th & 6th from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for all guests ages 3 and older. Pre-registration is required and tickets include access to the following activities:
- A wagon ride out to the sugar bush
- Munch on sweet maple-themed treats and sip a hot beverage from our concession stand
- Learn how to identify a maple tree
- Tap a maple tree
- See where the magic happens in our Sugar Shack.
- Watch a chainsaw artist turn a log into art
