We love a good playground and the one planned for Lower Huron Metropark looks incredible.
Lower Huron Metropark will be home to a brand new signature playground by the end of 2021! The playground design is intended to provide visitors and the community with a play experience that sparks the imagination of those visiting and stands out with a design unique to the surrounding area. Based on the art concept, we can confidently say it will be a popular family destination.
While we await the new playground, there is still LOTS to do at Lower Huron Metropark. The Turtle Cove Family Aquatic Center is a summer must. Zip down two waterslides, drift along a lazy river, get soaked under the 300-gallon dumping bucket at the splash pad, and wade into the zero-depth entry pool with lap lanes. Have fun on the water by renting a canoe or kayak to explore the Huron River. You can also make it an overnight adventure by reserving space on the camp grounds.
