Kid-Friendly New Year’s Eve Events In Metro Detroit

Celebrate the end of decade and the start of the New Year with the whole family. From Noon Year’s Eve celebrations with ball drops to firework displays, there is something for kids of all ages! Start making plans for Tuesday, December 31st…but just a little earlier than normal!

 

NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY

@ Escape, Troy

It’s the most fun place in Troy to ring in the New Year. There will be three different party times and all include 2.5 hours of bowling, a $10 game card, 1 game of laser tag, pizza and party favors.

 

NEW YEAR’S EVE KIDS COUNTDOWN

@ Beacon Park, Detroit

The New Year’s Eve Kids Countdown will offer all the fun and excitement of a traditional New Year’s Eve party while allowing you and the kiddos be be home and tucked safely into bed long before the clock strikes midnight. Similar to Beacon Park’s wildly popular Family Fun Days, this event will offer a wide range of activities and crafts for all ages.

 

NOON YEAR’S EVE CELEBRATION

Ring in 2020 with a BRICK-tacular balloon drop, music and games on New Year’s Eve at 12:00pm! To enjoy the celebration, please purchase tickets online in advance for no later than the 11:30am time slot on December 31st. Space is limited.

 

BELLE ISLE NEW YEAR’S EVE FAMILY FUN RUN/WALK

@ Belle Isle Detroit

The Children’s Fun Run is a short, one mile route, which starts in front of the Belle Isle Casino, goes around the Scott Fountain, and returns to the Casino.

Happy You Year, youngsters! This is an event that is all about and for you and it is all happening at the Detroit Historical Museum. Dance #inthestreets of old Detroit to the beats of one of our favorite DJ’s, enjoy complimentary drink and cookies, while counting down to the Noon Balloon drop!

 

NEW YEAR’S EVE MATINEE MOVIE – LOONEY TUNES CLASSICS

Watch Bugs, Tweety and the Looney Tunes antics on the big screen, then drop-in the artist workshop and create a vision for the future (and a building for the winter village) with FREE art materials. Admission to the DIA is free to residents of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb counties too!

 

ITTY BITTY NEW YEAR

It’s time to celebrate! Join us for our first Itty Bitty New Year Celebration! There will be games, dancing, and craft-making. We will be counting down to noon. Juice and pizza will be served.

WILD LIGHTS

@ Detroit Zoo, Royal Oak

The Detroit Zoo will light up the night again this holiday season with Wild Lights, a spectacular light display.  For 24 nights, more than five million LED lights will illuminate trees, buildings and more than 230 animal sculptures throughout the front half of the Zoo.  Experience the magic of the Detroit Zoo in winter as you take in the lights and the sights and enjoy holiday entertainment and special activities for guests of all ages.

 

ROCKIN’ NYE BALL DROP

@ Downtown Wyandotte

The event’s main attraction is the one of kind New Year’s Eve ball, with color changing and chasing LED lights. The evening will culminate with a Time Square style ball drop at 9 p.m. for families and again at the stroke of midnight. The Community Choice Credit Union heated tent will have FREE kids activities which will include; face painting, crafts, photo booth and games.

 

NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY FOR A PURPOSE

Legacy 925’s NYE Party for a Purpose has something for everyone! Bring a date, meet some friends, or share the night with the entire family. Kids, rock out their own NYE Party at Urban Air Trampoline & Adventure Park. Jump into the New Year with a live DJ, sparkling juice toasts, and party favors.
