If you haven’t been to Howell Nature Center, mark your calendar for Saturday, June 4th and enjoy FREE admission for Community Park Day

The Howell Nature Center is a rescue center and playground, home to animals that range from mammals (including bobcats and foxes) to reptiles and birds. Their habitats are located on a stroller friendly path and offer an upclose look at wild life. If you want to walk more, there are hiking trails along hilly terrain that make you feel a million miles from home (it’s not as stroller friendly and I’d recommend a baby carrier for little ones). If you want more scenic views, the gardens are gorgeous and so are the natural wildflowers. Grab a book from the little library and have storytime in the gazebo.

Before you leave stop by the playground and let the kids play in the treehouse, race across the bridge, hop on the logs, climb the rope web or rock walk and slide down the ‘sand dunes’.  The nature based playscape reminds you that you can have a lot of fun in the great outdoors.

The Howell Nature Center is open daily from 10am to 5pm. Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for kids ages 3 and older. Pre-register for Community Park Day on Saturday, June 4th and enjoy FREE admission.
