Heritage Park in Farmington Hills has everything you need for outdoor family fun. Hiking trails, playground, nature activities and seasons favorites including sledding hills, a splash pad and wagon rides. If you haven’t visited Heritage Park, add it to your list.

Heritage Park is a 211-acre park with 4.5 miles of trails that range from short Story Book walk to natural terrain adventure. A family favorite is the Nature Discovery Trail that begins at the north end of the park by the sledding hill, playground and splashpad. The .18 mile walk has hands-on activities throughout to keep kids engaged and entertained. The Nature Discovery Trail connects the playground to the Nature Center (and newly designed storybook walk).

The Farmington Hills Nature Center has open hours, day camp and classes for year round learning. The  Nature Center interpretive exhibits include a life-sized animal habitat, a backyard habitat bird viewing area, live animal displays and science discovery spaces. Admission is FREE and it is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10am to 4pm and Sundays 12pm to 4pm. The Nature Center is closed on Mondays from December through March.
