If a change of scenery and location is what you’re family is looking for – but not too far away – we suggest making a day trip to Howell, Michigan for treats, a treehouse and the Michigan Challenge Balloonfest June 25-27th.
The Michigan Challenge Balloonfest returns for 2021 with over 40 pilots competing for the state championship. This year, balloons will launch at undisclosed location but fill the sky around downtown Howell where families can find fun activities including live entertainment at Summit Gardens and activities throughout the downtown. Balloons will launch after 7pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Head out earlier in the day and take a visit to the Howell Nature Center. It is one of our favorite places to visit animals, take a nature walk and let the children run around the playground – the treehouse forts and canopy walks are pretty cool for parents and kids alike!
