Take your animal lover to Wolcott Mill Farm Center to meet the animals on the 250-acre working farm and have fun on the playground.

My boys could spend hours watching cows and you won’t hear any complaints from me. Farm visits during the winter months is a great family activity because there aren’t crowds but there are animals. Wolcott Mill has horses, cows, goats, sheep, chickens and more. In addition to the barns to visit animals at, there’s a barn themed playground that is great for all ages. Afterwards, stretch your legs on the hiking trails near the Historic Center and Camp Rotary that go along the river.

A vehicle pass is required to enter the Metropark. Annual passes are $40 and grant access to all 13 Huron-Clinton Metroparks (highly recommend getting it). A day pass is $10 and includes complete access to the farm.

Wolcott Mill is a 5 minute drive from Blake Farms and I highly recommend treating yourself to cider and donuts while you’re in the neighborhood.
