GUIDE TO THE 2021 DETROIT TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY

Bundle up the kiddos and head downtown because the annual Detroit Tree Lighting Ceremony at Campus Martius is Friday, November 19th @ 5pm.

 

The Christmas season kicks-off at Campus Martius on November 19th and downtown will be buzzing with activity from 5pm to midnight. Head downtown to enjoy spectacular live entertainment, Olympic figure skaters, and award-winning local performers and skating clubs.  The night will also feature amazing lighting attractions, horse-drawn carriage rides, holiday shopping, hot chocolate giveaways, food trucks, visits from Santa, and much more!

 

Get started on your Christmas list and shop the winter markets and relax with friends and family at Cadillac Lodge.

 

Take a walk to Beacon Park to check out their latest interactive light exhibit, Swinging Bells! There will be more than 125,000 lights, including the return of the Children’s Tree. Grab a bite from food trucks and listen to live music at Light Up Beacon Park from 6pm to 11pm.

 

PARKING: There will be over 40,000 people downtown for the tree lighting ceremony. Prepare for street closing and find the best place to park here. You can also park an ride the QLine for FREE!
