Grace Centers of Hope

Grace Centers of Hope is a non-profit, Christian organization committed to positively changing the lives of the unwanted, addicted, and homeless through the Gospel of Jesus Christ, personal accountability, life skills education, and work-related programs.

  • Donations Accepted: Men, women, children, and infant clothing of all types, sizes, and colors. Furniture, household items of all kinds, appliances both big and small, and so much more

Brilliant Detroit

Brilliant Detroit partners with families, neighborhoods, community organizations, and businesses to mobilize services that empower families with young children in the areas of health, education, and economic security by providing place-based connections to resources. They envision a future where family services and systems are aligned and children have the environment and opportunity to thrive.

Foster Closet of Michigan

Foster Closet of Michigan provides clothing, toys, shoes, baby equipment, and gear and in some cases furniture to children placed in the foster care system in the State of Michigan. Children are often placed into foster care with no personal items and in many cases, with only the clothes on their backs. The organization provides these kids with stylish new or like-new clothes and personal items helping to begin the process of rebuilding their self-esteem and providing them with belongings they can call their own. The Baldwin Center (Pontiac)

The mission of the Baldwin Center is to feed, clothe, educate and empower the men, women, and children of the community. The Baldwin Center has served the community of Pontiac, Michigan since 1981 and provides over 25 programs for the surrounding neighborhood.

  • Donations Accepted: Currently in need of individually bagged snacks like chips or cookies, single serving sized bottled water, gallon ziploc bags, infant formula, infant diapers, toddler diapers and pull-ups

Cots

COTS creates opportunities for families to collaborate, thrive, and succeed in building strong and stable households, neighborhoods, and communities. Through partnerships, we are able to assist families in reaching their housing, economic, health, education and career goals as they overcome homelessness and break the cycle of poverty for the next generation and beyond.

Humble Design

We change lives and communities by custom designing and fully furnishing home interiors for individuals, families and veterans emerging from homelessness.

  • Donations Accepted: Chairs, bed frames, lamps, pillows, decor, furniture, books, toys, silverware, dish sets and more!
  • Schedule a pick up here or drop off 1pm-3pm Mondays or 9am-11am Tuesday through Thursday in Pontiac

Goodwill (Multiple locations throughout Detroit) 

Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit is dedicated to helping the community. They provide skilled labor to businesses on a project, part-time and full-time basis. Goodwill helps adults who have a hard time getting or keeping a job and gives them the skills to lead a productive life.

The Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan

The Furniture Bank of Southeastern Michigan works to improve the living conditions of children and families in-need within Southeastern Michigan by collecting usable essential furniture from generous donors and distributing these items on a referral basis.

  • Donations Accepted: Gently used mattresses and box springs of all sizes, sofas, kitchen tables, and living room furniture. You can schedule a appointment and they will pick up items for free if you are in their area!
