Take a trip to Bowers School Farm for hands-on fun. Let your kids carry chickens, brush horses, milk a cow, go on a wagon ride and more! Each month there will be a different theme of activities, starting with Earth Day in April. Families can also borrow a Jr. Farmer Pack that includes exploration tools and activities that enhance your Open Barn visit.
Farm admission is $10 per person and children 2 and under are free. The farm is open from 9am to 3pm on Saturdays from April to October. In May and October the Barn is also open on Sundays. Be sure to pick out some farm fresh foods at the visitor center store and treat the kids to ice cream from MSU Dairy Store Ice Cream.
