Top Indoor Play Places: Day Rates vs. Memberships

Math is hard – especially when there’s a line behind you and anxious kids on either side. We understand the pressure of standing at a counter and trying to determine whether it makes more sense to get a day pass or membership; therefore, we decided to make it easier for you to prepare and compare.
To help you figure out what works best for your family we broke down the cost of a single visit (for a family of 4 – two adults and two kids) and compared it to a monthly membership that is offered by most play cafes.
Chelsea Tree House
The Tree House is an awesome adventure destination located in Chelsea, Michigan. The 9,000 square foot location boasts a huge climbing and playing structure, five slides, a baby and toddler area, swinging bridges, basketball hoops, and of course, a huge tree house!
- Daily Rate: $18 ($9 per child and free adult)
- 3 Month Membership: $100 (two children per family)
Detroit Kid City
Detroit Kid City is Metro-Detroit’s Most Exciting, Very Popular Family Attraction & Party Venue. They are a Mini-Detroit Themed “Play Cafe”, Where Families Come to Sip Coffee and Play.
- Daily Rate: $20 ($10 per child, adults are free with purchase of drink)
- Annual Membership: $180 (2 children for 12 months)
Jungle Java
Jungle Java is all about kids having fun, engaging in active play, in a safe and clean environment. Jungle Java is also all about parents being able to relax and socialize, enjoying a latte, in a comfy and cozy environment.
- Daily Rate: $20 ($10 per child and free adult)
- 3 Month Membership: $93 (2 children per family)
Peppa Pig World of Play
14 themed areas of free-roaming play bring to life the world of Peppa Pig like never before and will spark the imagination of your little piggies. Jump, laugh, play, imagine and giggle!
- Daily Rate: $45 ($22.50 per child and adult)
- ANNUAL Membership: $175 ($75 per child, includes 1 adult)
Rochester Play
Rochester Play provides many unique services – a premier indoor children’s play center, a distinctive party location, a health conscious and tasty café, and various family and children’s programs.
- Daily Rate: $22 ($11 per child and free adult)
- Monthly Membership: $65 (multiple children per family)
Stemville
Stemville is a creative play center for children that encourages the use of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Children use creative thinking and problem solving as they explore the various play stations.
- Daily Rate: $40 ($20 per child and adult)
- Monthly Membership: $60 (2 children per family)
Tiny Town Play Lounge
Tiny Town is designed with the parent and child in mind. Parents can choose to relax in our parent lounge and enjoy our free WiFi and sip on some freshly brewed coffee. Children can roam around town and check out the house, supermarket, library and more!
- Daily Rate: $18 ($9 per child and free adult)
- Monthly Membership: $80 (2 children per family)
Troy Gymnastics
Troy Gymnastics has a state-of-the-art facility for children to come play & learn. They offer classes, teams and camps in addition to drop-in Open Gym hours and kids night outs.
- Daily Rate: $20 ($10 per child and free adult)
- Monthly Membership: $110 (two children per family)
Under the Sea Playground
Under the Sea Playground provides a safe and fun environment for children to play. The indoor park has custom built Soft Play equipment and an innovative interactive floor system that keeps kids moving. The central play structure is made for ages 4 to 12, and there is also an area designated for toddlers ages 1-3.
- Daily Rate: $18 ($9 per child and free adult)
- Monthly Membership: $56 (multiple children per family)
