The Ford House has always been a favorite place to visit. Edsel & Eleanor Ford’s house on Lake St. Clair in Grosse Pointe Shores is beautiful and the grounds fun to explore all year long. The new 40,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Visitor Center takes the experience to a new level with a permanent interactive museum exhibit, indoor and outdoor class room space and a restaurant featuring a picnic to-go option.

 

Your littles will love getting their hands on the massive touch screens to scroll through pictures and design their dream house. See vintage cars on display and play designer as you pick your favorite elements to design your own prized ride. Sign up for Story Studio or Explorer Series, the weekly programs are great for kids ages 2 to 10.

 

Sit down for a family meal at The Continental or grab food to go at The Speedster for a picnic on the grounds. The kids grill cheese meal comes with fresh fruit for only $6! The grounds of the Ford House are picture perfect at all times and with a membership you receive a 20% discount.

 

With a membership you also get early access to tickets to favorite annual events including Harvest Day (October 9th) and Little Goblins Night Out (October 23rd).

 

The Ford House is open Tuesdays – Sundays and a grounds pass is $5 per person, kids 5 and under are FREE!
