Wright Museum you will receive a QR code on your ticket that will allow you to redeem two free tickets to a Detroit Pistons game. The Detroit Historical Museum brings Detroit’s history to life in fun, innovative and interactive ways all ages will enjoy. From the Streets of Old Detroit to the bedrock of the city’s identity (music, motors and sports) you’ll learn more about the people and places you’re familiar with and be introduced to things you never knew. History isn’t boring and neither is the museum. Every exhibit offers engaging, interactive components that kids of all ages will love.

The Detroit Historical Museum is open Thursday thru Sunday and admission is $10 for adults and $6 for children. 

On the other side of Woodward is the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History.  Experience the journey of black lives in America from the 1600s to present. From the struggles of enslavement to the Civil Rights Movement and present day activism, visitors are able to engage in both challenges and victories. In addition to learning about Africans in America, the museum’s King Tutankhamun exhibit provides unique access to African life in ancient Egypt.

The Charles H. Wright Museum is open to the public Tuesdays thru Sundays. Admission is $25 for adults and $19 for kids.
