The Festival will feature exciting entertainment that includes multiple carnival rides, a casino, lots of live music, and many vendors featuring food booths with fresh exotic offerings. It will be a great time for the entire family!

 

ART ON THE GRAND

@ Walter Sundquist Pavillion, Farmington Hills

ART on the GRAND is a FREE 2-day fair with fun scheduled for the entire family! 2017’s event introduced the first-ever element of the fair for kids, called kids art alley. kids art alley included a youth artist market, a DIY upcycled art tent and a community mural. This element to the fair is in addition to many other kids activities and fun for the family!

SKIP’S FISHING DERBY

This popular event typically draws over 200 participants for the derby, ranging from 5-13 years of age.  Prizes and trophies are awarded for several categories, including longest fish, smallest fish, most fish caught, and most unusual item caught.

Clever Mulan proves her worth outside of her tradition-bound society when, disguised as a male soldier, “Ping,” she bravely takes her father’s place in the Imperial Army. Mulan’s adventures lead to a climactic battle atop the Imperial Palace, where her family’s honor and the fate of the Emperor and all of China rests in her hands! The Detroit Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Camping Leadership Immersion Course (CLIC) Training is designed to provide leaders with the skills and resources to plan and lead a youth camping trip in Scout Hollow. During the 28-hour Leadership Training, teachers and leaders practice front country camping skills and familiarize themselves with Rouge Park’s natural, historical, and cultural resources.
