Help our staff get our draft horses ready for action. Grab a brush and get them groomed. Take part behind the scenes as the draft horses are harnessed and hitched to the wagon. Learn what the different elements of their harness do and how they work together. When the horses are dressed and ready, you’ll be all set for a relaxing hayride along the farm’s wooded trails. Don’t miss out on this unique hands-on experience!

Watch our staff get our draft horses ready for action. Take pictures and ask questions in this behind the scenes look at what it takes to get the draft horses harnessed and hitched to the wagon. Learn what makes draft horses so special, and how we care for these amazing animals. Then climb aboard for a short wagon ride around the farm. This fun and relaxing adventure is great for the entire family. Our wagon is wheelchair accessible. Patrons will walk on gravel roads to get to horse barn.


GREAT FALL FESTIVAL

@ Maybury Farm, Northville

The weekend festival features live music, activities, games, demonstrations and a tractor drawn wagon ride. You can also enjoy delicious eats & treats from one of the visiting food trucks.

FALL WAGON TOURS

October 7, 8, 14, 21, 22, & 28

@ Stony Creek Metropark, Shelby Township

Hop on our tractor-drawn wagon and enjoy the beauty of fall along a Nature Trail. Along the way, our staff will share stories about Stony Creek’s history and various natural features. After your tour, we welcome you to a roaring campfire to celebrate the season. Program is weather dependent. Participants will need to climb 3 stairs to get on the wagon.


PUMPKIN PATCH WAGON RIDES 

October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 & 22

@ Wolcott Mill Metropark, Ray

Climb aboard a tractor drawn wagon ride out to the pumpkin patch and corn maze. Our five-acre field has hundreds of pumpkins, perfect for fall decorating or carving. Last wagon to the pumpkin patch leaves at 2:30 p.m. Pumpkins are additional price based on size and range from $2 – $10.


HARVEST DAY

@ Ford House, Grosse Pointe Shores

Shop a mini fall market where local farmers will offer their harvest best: pumpkins, apples, fall bouquets, and more. Enjoy free family fun, including old-school lawn games, a petting zoo, horse and pony rides, and plenty of photo ops.

Come, take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkins. Food, music, farm animals, educational exhibits, wagon rides, and children’s activities all make for a fun fall outing on this historic 160 acre farm.

Join us for Harvest Festival at Crosswinds Marsh. Enjoy a forested hayride and gather around the bonfire for kid-friendly stories while enjoying cider and donuts. Kids 17 years old and younger can participate in a costume parade.

@ Marshbank Park, West Bloomfield

Experience the changing seasons at Marshbank Park while enjoying a 20 minute, tractor-drawn hayride. You’ll encounter a few nature knowledge stops along your route for added adventure. Take your picnic blanket and find a cozy spot to enjoy cider and a seasonal treat. The registration fee is for one time slot and includes a private hayride for your group of 30 maximum people, cider, donuts and 4 roll up picnic blankets.


BOWERS FARM FALL FESTIVAL
