Spring is here and so is baseball! The Detroit Tigers 2024 season is off to a good start and these are the things you should know when heading down to Comerica Park to root for the home team!

We all have fond memories of long days and late nights at the ballpark cheering, chanting and doing the wave. Whether it was sneaking away for a day game with dad or watching the sky light up with fireworks on a Friday night, game days are special. Keep the tradition going and plan a family trip downtown to watch the Tigers play in Comerica Park!

Here’s everything you need to know about going to root for the home team!

Friday Nights: Make the evening a two-for-one event. Watch the Tigers play and enjoy a fireworks show after the game! Friday Night Fireworks typically start in June.

Swag Saturdays: The Detroit Tigers aren’t playing around with giveaways this year! Every Saturday there will be a new giveaway (hats, jerseys, bobbleheads and more) to the first 15,000 fans! Check out the line-up and get tickets.

Family FUNDay: Every Sunday is Family Day at Comerica Park. Get 4 pack of tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 chips and 4 fountain drinks for as little as $79. And on Sundays kids 14 and under can enjoy face painting, free rides on the ferris wheel, and postgame Kids Run the Bases every Sunday. Kids Run the Bases is weather permitting and may be cancelled due to doubleheaders or other post game events. To participate in Kids Run the Bases, guests are asked to line up under the scoreboard in left field at the conclusion of the game. Participants will exit off the field along the third baseline.

Whenever you plan your trip, don’t miss out on the Carousel located next to Gate A, section 119 (near 1st base) and the Fly Ball Ferris Wheel located in the FOX Sports Detroit Brushfire Grill, located behind section 131 (near home palate). Both rides are $2 per person and a lot of fun! And take a selfie at the Tiger statues – it’s a perfect keepsake to remember the day.
