Have you heard about the MAP Pass and have been curious if it’s really worth it? The answer is yes! Step one is getting a library card if you don’t already have one. Your local library will allow you to sign up at any time. All you need is proof of residency. (Bill, driver’s license etc.) Next step is head to their website HERE. Scroll down type in your zip code, how far you wish to travel, home library (where your card is from) and what type of attractions you wish to look for and hit search! The next page will show you the closest locations to you first.

If you are planning a vacation or trip, use the handy map feature to zoom in on the area you are visiting to see if anything is available. When you see something that interests you click the “More Info” tab below the listing. This will tell you exactly what your pass will cover. Not all MAP Passes cover admission. Some cover percentages off in the gift shop, only partial admission, or buy one, get one admission. So, be sure to verify! Once you find something you want to do. Click “Get Pass.” This will take you to a new tab. At the top of the page under the help button you can select up to 14 days out. Choose the day you wish to visit and click request pass. Type in your information along with your library card number and your pass will be emailed to you! Passes can be used once a week per library card. It’s easy, and simple to use and a great resource for parents!
