Families of all ages and Scout groups are invited to visit the institute for an interactive, out-of-this-world experience after-hours! On select Saturday nights, we’ll open the museum to explore planets, stars, space travel, and so much more.

Enjoy a live, guided tour of the night sky in the Acheson Planetarium, observe the stars in the Cranbrook Observatory, weather permitting, learn from an astronomer, explore hands-on activities, and you’ll even get to take home a space-themed snack!

Attendees will also have the opportunity to examine the universe around us in the newest exhibit, SPACE: A Journey to Our Future, presented by PNC Bank with support from GM. You can see a real piece of the Moon, explore family-friendly interactives, tour a full-scale future Moon habitat, plan a trip to Mars, and more.

For Scout groups: Saturday Night Space Science is designed to be a fun and engaging experience for scouts of all ages, and meets some badge requirements.

Please pre-register online. Children under the age of 2 are free, and adult must accompany (and register) any child under the age of 16.
