Details:
This is It… The last day of Sugaring Season for 2021! We’d love to keep going out in the woods, tapping the maples… unfortunately around this time of year in Southeast Michigan, the sap ceases to have a high sugar content, becomes bitter, and is no longer suitable for boiling into syrup. Join us to learn the history of sugaring during this all-outdoor program and how to identify maple trees. We will hike into the spring woods to tap a maple. Afterwards, return to the campfire and learn the process of boiling the sap into rich maple syrup.
Pre-registration required. Time slots run for 90 minutes. Social distancing and face coverings are required.
