Details:

Let’s talk about AUTISM with Kelly Beins, seasoned therapist with over twenty years experience in Pediatric Occupational Therapy and Director of Occupational Therapy Consulting, LLC, writer for Autism Parenting Magazine, and author of the picture books about a lovable sheep with sensory challenges, Ovis Has Trouble with School and Ovis Has Trouble Eating. Kelly will join us via Skype, leading a discussion with kids about autism, sharing her books, and kids will take home a fun Ovis finger puppet craft.  This program is offered as part of the 2019 “Let’s Talk About” series in conjunction with the libraries of Lyon Township, Novi, Salem-South Lyon, Walled Lake and Wixom. Each month one of the partnering libraries will host a reading and discussion exploring a different social justice topic. Parents are required to stay with their children during the program to help guide them through these discussions.  Online registration required. Sign up begins February 1, 2019. Limit 85 attendees.
