12/26 from 6 – 9 PM – Umoja (Unity): To strive for and to maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and race. Presented in partnership with African Liberation Day Committee.
12/27 from 6 – 9 PM – Kujichagulia (Self-Determination): To define ourselves, name ourselves, create for ourselves, and speak for ourselves. On this night, there will be an African naming ceremony, performances by the Al Nur Drummers & Dancers, as well as a keynote address by Michael Imhotep of the African History Network.
12/28 from 6 – 9 PM – Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility): To build and maintain our community together, make our brothers’ and sisters’ problems our problems, and to solve them together. Presented in partnership with Nsoroma Institute.
12/29 from 6 – 9 PM – Ujamaa (Collective Economics): To build and maintain our own stores, shops, and other businesses, and to profit from them collectively. Presented in partnership with Keidi Awadu.
12/30 from 3 – 6 PM – Nia (Purpose): To make our collective vocation the building and development of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness. Presented in partnership with Aisha Shule.
12/31 from 3 – 6 PM – Kuumba (Creativity) : To do always as much as we can, in the way we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful and beneficial than we inherited it. Presented in partnership with Malcolm X Elliott and Hip Hop bands Zubair & The Zoo, and Mama Sol.
1/1 from 3 – 6 PM – Imani (Faith): To believe with all our hearts in our people, our parents, our teachers, our leaders, and the righteousness and victory of our struggle. Presented in partnership with Shrine of the Black Madonna
