Grosse Pointe Garden Center is hosting a Family Garden Fun Day event for adults with children in elementary school. Adults will enjoy talks on several gardening topics by local horticultural experts. Children will enjoy hands-on gardening activities.
Adults will learn about such topics as composting as a family, integrating native plants into your family garden and how to select the best foundation plants. There will be time reserved at each talk for you to ask your individual gardening questions.
Children will enjoy activities such as building a fairy garden, learning how to attract butterflies and how to grow native plants and pollinators
Enrollment is limited. Children must be registered with an adult. Adults must remain present for the entire event.
Cost: $20 per family
