Exploring America’s food stories is one of the most deeply rooted ways of understanding our nation’s history. From the sowing of seeds to the setting of tables, Fall Flavor Weekends in Greenfield Village showcases the abundance of the harvest through storytelling and demonstrations.
Visit with farmers as they plow and thresh powered by horses and, later, steam. Amble through the apple orchard, then shop the fall Farmer’s Market on Saturdays to connect with today’s local farmers, vendors and craft makers. Find out how to re-create historic recipes from simple, freshly harvested ingredients, and savor authentically American meals at A Taste Of History Restaurant.
