The DIA remains open but all public programming is cancelled until April 13th due to public health concerns.

Laugh along with the mostly-true story of how the Muppets got their start. From the very first strum of Kermit’s banjo playing The Rainbow Connection (Oscar nominee, Best Original Song, 1979), to the hysterical road trip that brings our fearless frog together with Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal, and most importantly of all, Miss Piggy, The Muppet Movie is jam-packed with heartwarming hilarity, outrageous antics and big-shot Hollywood cameos. Share this favorite with your family or see it for the first time on the big screen. (97 min)

Before or after the film be sure to see one of the original Kermit the Frog muppets on display in the museum. Donated to the DIA by Jim Henson, don’t miss your chance to see the frog in person. On view January – March.

General museum admission is FREE for residents of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties.
