Dearborn’s parade is the oldest continuous Memorial Day Parade in Michigan and one of the largest in the country, running for it’s 96th year!
The City of Dearborn organizes the parade with support from the Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council. This long and respected tradition of honoring veterans and those who lost their lives while serving their country takes place on Michigan Avenue, traveling west towards the Henry Ford Centennial Library and the Veterans Park and War Memorial.
The Military Funeral Procession beings at 9:40am, honoring those that have lost their lives in the line of duty, and the parade begins at 10am. A remembrance ceremony begins after the parade at 12pm.
