Astronomy at the Beach is a two-night annual event bringing together amateur and professional astronomers and science educators to share our love of space and astronomy with the public. This year’s theme is the Apollo 11 50th anniversary.
On both Friday and Saturday nights dozens of telescopes will dazzle your eyes with views of the Moon, Jupiter, Saturn, star clusters, nebulas, and maybe even a galaxy or two!
Inside the “Big Tent,” expand your mind with presentations and hands-on demos about many aspects of science and popular astronomy.
Members from southeastern Michigan astronomy clubs and societies will be at tables, and would love to talk about astronomy and space science.
